The XP10 comes with a new option under SETTINGS–>BATTERY–>REDUCE BATTERY AGING, which limits the maximum battery charge level to 80%. If you engage “Reduce Battery Aging” mode, this will stay active even after a Factory Data Reset, even though the option in SETTINGS–>BATTERY shows that the Reduce Battery Aging is disabled. In this case, ENABLE the option in SETTINGS–>BATTERY menu, then reboot the device and disable the application.

Per default, the XP10 LED blinks GREEN when new notifications are available. Certain applications however can make the LED blink with a different color when that app has new notifications. Specifically, Microsoft applications like Skype, Outlook and Teams change the notification color. The XP10 displays most of these custom colors as BLUE. The facebook app also uses BLUE as its notification color.

To improve your display brightness on your XP10, follow these steps: 1. Ensure adaptive brightness is turned ON. (It is ON by default from the factory.); 2. If you find your XP10 is still not bright enough in a dark room, you can always increase the brightness level manually while keeping adaptive brightness turned on, and 3. You may choose to disable adaptive brightness altogether. NOTE: Customers that have enabled DARK THEME (under Android Settings –> Display) may experience/report that the device brightness while adaptive brightness is on is too dark. Sonim is exploring ways to improve the user experience for users that use the Dark Mode theme.

While the XP10 does support dual SIMs, the SIM operation is controlled by the software on the device. In North America, only ONE SIM can be active at a time. The XP10 will read the SIM card in Tray 1 first, and if there is a 2nd SIM in Slot 2, it will not be read.
